Honduran Mahogany Wood Floor
Color: Orange/browns through to darker, more orange browns.
Grain: It is mostly straight-grained, but pieces with interlocked or irregular grain produce a highly valued beautiful figure on quartered surfaces. It has a moderately fine to medium and uniform texture.
Variations within Species and Grades: Honduran Mahogany offers a medium degree of color variability from pale orange/browns to darker orangey browns.
Hardness (Janka): 800; Compared to Red Oak's hardness of 1290.
Sanding: No known issues.
Nailing: Good holding ability.
Finishing: No known problems with staining, painting or enamel.
